Bio Fuel

Favorich has entered in power sector spreading its wings to Hydro power, Thermal Power, Wind Power and Bio Fuels. We have already signed MOU with Govt of Madhya Pradesh to develop 17500 Acres(5000 Hectors) to grow Jathropa and to produce Bio Fuels and other products . Jatropha Curcas is an inedible energy oil crop that is used as a feedstock in the production of biodiesel. Jatropha Curcas can be grown in arid and marginal land requiring very little water. Favorich NewEnergy Division has access to large acreages of planted Jatropha Curcas in several states of India as well as nurseries and seed procurement centres.

Jatropha Curcas is therefore a high quality feedstock suitable for biodiesel that is :

• Low in cost

• Sustainable and in line with the group's sustainability commitments and values

• Will not compete with global food supply as the Jatropha plant is an inedible crop

• High in oil content and low in free fatty acid content

• High in energy balance with greater carbon savings

• A source of income and livelihood for the rural farmers in India with marginal and arid land

Favorich New Energy Division is currently selling Jatropha seeds. Jatropha seeds are of high quality and can be used for both plantation and oil extraction purposes.
